アーティスト特集第４回は五嶋みどりさんです。五嶋みどり（1971年10月25日生）は日本生まれの米国バイオリニストで、現代におけるトップバイオリニストの一人。マンハッタン音楽学校の教授を務めた後、2004年南カリフォルニア大学ソントン音楽学校の教授に就任し、2007年より弦楽学部主任教授を務めています。クリスタル賞（ダボス会議）、米国ケネディ・センター「名誉賞」等の国際的な受賞歴も多数あります。彼女の演奏は「恐ろしいほどの正確な演奏」と言われ、その演奏スキルの高さが評価されています。 ------------------------------------------------------------------ The 4th installment of classical music performaers will feature "Midori Goto". Micori Goto (born October 25,1971) is a Japanese-born American violinist, and one of the top violinists of our taime. After serving as a professor at the Manhattan School of Music, she became a professor at the University of Southern California's Thornton Music School in 2004, and since 2007 she has served as chair of the string department. She has received numerous international awards, including the Crystal Award(Davos) and the Kennedy Center Honor Award. Her performance skills have been praised so much that she has been described as "frighteningly accrate".
