There are houses. A lot of houses. They all look the same, lined up endlessly in neat rows. I stand alone outside, right in the middle of their procession, doing nothing. From the windows of the houses, eyes peer out. They're all watching me, trying to see what I'll do. I realize what I must do. I spin like a mad pole dancer. They keep watching me through the windows. I completely forget about them as I go on spinning. I spin like a satellite pulled by the Earth. The houses retreat toward a vanishing point. They are still watching me through their windows. My lungs begin to stiffen like old rubber. At that moment, I'm suddenly aware of my own shadow. Soon enough, I'll forget it again.
