Popcorn

歌詞

Buttery smell in the air Movie lights, people everywhere Found our seats, you sat by me Suddenly I forgot what we came to see Cold drink resting in my hand You said something, I missed half of it Tried to watch the opening scene Then you leaned over and whispered to me Pop after pop Between you and me Funny how my heart Keeps copying the beat Pop, pop, popcorn You got my heartbeat jumping Pop, pop, popcorn Every time you lean in Movie on the big screen I’m barely watching now You say something funny And I lose the whole plot somehow Pop, pop, popcorn What am I supposed to do? Every passing second Pulls me back to you Reached inside the same small box Both our hands went in at once You pulled back, I laughed too fast Then the next ten minutes passed People cheering at the scene I had no clue what it could mean You asked, “Did you see that part?” I said “yeah,” and hoped you wouldn’t ask Pop after pop Between you and me Funny how the smallest things Get the best of me Pop, pop, popcorn You got my heartbeat jumping Pop, pop, popcorn Every time you lean in Movie on the big screen I’m barely watching now You say something funny And I lose the whole plot somehow Pop, pop, popcorn What am I supposed to do? Every passing second Pulls me back to you Credits rolling Lights come on I could swear The movie just began You ask me “What’d you think?” I start laughing Before I can think Guess I missed Most of the show But somehow I don’t mind at all Pop, pop, popcorn You got my heartbeat jumping Pop, pop, popcorn Every time you lean in Movie on the big screen Still I’m looking your way You say something funny And I forget what I was gonna say Pop, pop, popcorn Guess I know it’s you Every passing second Pulls me back to you Pop, pop Lights come up Popcorn Still not enough Movie’s over Still somehow You’re the part I’m thinking about
